great gift ideas
i was in anthropologie shopping yesterday and came across this little baby aquarium. it is amazing what science has done. made by NASA after years of studying they were able to create a world totally enclosed with no maintenance required. it just calls for some sunlight. i had to buy it for my brother and my mom. they make perfect christmas gifts! most anthropologie stores only carry one at a time because shipping them is difficult. check out this website you can buy it here.
an ecospere is the world's first totally enclosed ecosystem - a complete, self-contained and self-sustaining miniature world encased in glass. Be wary of inferior and lower quality imitations. Easy to care for, an EcoSphere is an incredible learning tool that can provide powerful insights about life on our own planet... and provide a glimpse of technology that's shaping the future of space exploration.
juicy couture monopoly? who would of thought. I bought a few of these for friends and of course had to get one for myself :) http://www1.bloomingdales.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=102129&CategoryID=3968&PageID=3968*1*24*-1*-1*14 ugg slippers. my dad never even wore slippers until i bought him these last year. the sheepskin lining is the key to confort.

DIY...chandelier update
i found this on the nesting blog. i love the idea...the color she chose is great too!
1.Clean the chandelier thoroughly to remove dirt and rust.
2. To eliminate a step (roughing up the smooth finish with sandpaper to allow paint to stick) consider using Krylon Fusion spray paint, which easily sticks to slick surfaces like metal.
3. Tape off any areas that you do not wish to paint with painter's tape.
4. In a well-ventilated area, hold the can about 12 inches from the chandelier and spray using long smooth strokes to avoid drips.
5. Let dry for about an hour. Then come back and add another coat. Repeat as necessary until you have desired coverage.

DIY...wallpaper appliques
DIY...etched mirror
i found this on casa sugar today its a great idea :)
1. Simply cut a piece of Con-tact paper to match the shape of the design you want on your mirror, remove the paper's backing, and center the Con-tact on the glass.2. Press down firmly all around the edges to ensure a clean silhouette.3. Then brush a thick layer of etching cream onto the mirror's exposed areas in broad, even strokes, and let it set for 5 minutes. (Be sure to work in a well-ventilated room and follow the safety instructions on the packaging.)4. Finally, rinse off the cream with warm tap water, remove the Con-tact paper, and reflect on the smashing success of your instant makeover.
